The majority of James Fairhurst’s work is in 18ct gold and platinum. His pieces incorporate an ever-widening range of rare and unusual coloured gemstones; balancing these striking combinations of colours and showing off each gemstone to its maximum potential has become James’s trademark.
Customers are welcome to visit James in his Farnham studio to see examples of his work, and to talk about individual commissions. Contact James for an initial discussion and to arrange an appointment.
Rare gemstones
I have a wide variety of loose gemstones available to view at my studio. Often customers will browse my collection and happen upon a stone they really like, and from that a commissioned piece of jewellery will develop. Do get in touch if you would like to arrange an appointment to view the collection.
Artisan craftsmanship
It all begins with an idea. Ideally, I like to work person-to-person with a customer. This tends to yield the best results. A conversation takes place, sketches are drawn, models made… Once we settle on a design the hard work begins at the desk in my studio. Further down the line the result is a uniquely crafted piece of jewellery handmade just for you.
